Generally all academic program changes take effect with the next publication of the  Southwestern Adventist University Bulletin.

Yearly Bulletins are generally published in the spring and describe details effective for the next academic year beginning with the autumn semester.

The changes for each Bulletin generally include minor editing changes, course changes, as well as significant program and department changes.

The significant changes for the  2007-2008 Undergraduate Bulletin  include:

Nursing, A.S. The A.S. program in Nursing will be discontinued effective with the 2007-08 Bulletin.
Students enrolled in the program during the autumn 2006 (last class admitted to the A.S. program) will be able to complete their program requirements.
This A.S. program is replaced by a Nursing major in the B.S. degree program as described in the 2006-07 Bulletin. The program consists of approximately one year of pre-nursing courses and a three-year program of nursing. Students are being admitted to this three-year nursing program beginning with the spring 2007 semester.
For further information, contact Dr. Penny Moore, Chair of Nursing.
[This change has been published in the 2006-07 Bulletin]

Biochemistry major The Biochemistry major (B.S.) will be offered effective with the 2007-08 Bulletin.
